Tree Sketch: Only 5 More

I wanna make 5 of these for the installation im working on. The tree will be ceramic, the canopy is foam and felt, and the base is chicken wire and paper machete coated with expanding foam, giant rhinestones and spray paint. Here is a sketch of the tree on its base and an example the base will have. I'm getting super excited to build it, although my checking account isnt. I hope this excites you all. n_n<br /> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMi-gw1jcGJ_J29Z0-EgU6TMzFiBfKPu6MupG0Q2NhrxBGgWm1ZlC719VYxQ5GJ3DnGakGXiagn5EkJM5CBlh1JxtuCATMcPLUv4MC5u9SPhy3qiSzA3yQeu7Cf1u4lMnmlqmEJ6a9JWHS/" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMi-gw1jcGJ_J29Z0-EgU6TMzFiBfKPu6MupG0Q2NhrxBGgWm1ZlC719VYxQ5GJ3DnGakGXiagn5EkJM5CBlh1JxtuCATMcPLUv4MC5u9SPhy3qiSzA3yQeu7Cf1u4lMnmlqmEJ6a9JWHS/" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLP3IDq1gKQU30z84pQdTNSWendH_dwMew7WUbr5hI615tS7xQsCsYRUeQlT-8ANuP-WqEbs3m3z8OecA4rwLY9dCrd00vkQLrA-N3SB7-QIrwaLEFRaSRrR0ga1qXQ64_XENIKAswf2s/s1600/2011-01-21_15-16-36_816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLP3IDq1gKQU30z84pQdTNSWendH_dwMew7WUbr5hI615tS7xQsCsYRUeQlT-8ANuP-WqEbs3m3z8OecA4rwLY9dCrd00vkQLrA-N3SB7-QIrwaLEFRaSRrR0ga1qXQ64_XENIKAswf2s/s640/2011-01-21_15-16-36_816.jpg" width="358" /></a></div>

While im enjoying the height of them stacked together, im not liking how column like it is. the top, my favorite part wont be visitble under the canopy, and the stalk isn't very interesting for me, so I think I may keep this as a test peice for glazing, or I may end up just reclaiming it. Im getting better at throwing larger so it wont be so bad to recreate.  Im wanting a stalk that tapers more towards the top, then having a wide bubble form for the canopy to be built onto. I'll be posting progress on the trees as it comes :)<br />
