Making progress trimming and altering some of the forms... I lost two of my babies to being a little forceful. It has been a while, I guess. I'm gonna spend another hour or so deciding which ones I want to decorate and how. Here's a better picture of what I've been working on. The hardest part is deciding which ones to pair together, other than the ones that blatantly should be (n_n). But, a lot of that will change post wood fire.

Trimming and Decorating

<div><p>Trimmed the vessels I made yesterday. Embeleshed them with a pencil and painted some decorative black marks. After they are bisqued im going to add another layer of underglaze before the final layer of glaze. Just playing around with some new forms :)</p>
<p>What I like a lot about these forms is that as I make marks on the outside with the pencil it creates a negative on the inside of it. Thanks Vicki for the tip. I had to make sure I threw especially thin for these. It made trimming difficult. Hence im now two short ahah.</p>

Tree Sketch: Only 5 More

I wanna make 5 of these for the installation im working on. The tree will be ceramic, the canopy is foam and felt, and the base is chicken wire and paper machete coated with expanding foam, giant rhinestones and spray paint. Here is a sketch of the tree on its base and an example the base will have. I'm getting super excited to build it, although my checking account isnt. I hope this excites you all. n_n<br />
